Denim Overload: A Whole Lot of Denim and A Whole Lot of FUNK

This one is for the girl who loves denim falling all around her. I call her Denim Overload, and once you see the layered jean pockets and long, janky fringe, you'll understand why.

I used upcycled denim in different washes, keeping the worn areas, raw edges, and jean-pocket details as part of the design. There’s a lot going on, and that's what I like about her. Nothing about this handbag is trying to look perfectly put together.

The long denim fringe and black bandana fringe make her part of the outfit. She isn't just a bag you pick up on your way out. Those hanging layers bring their own kind of FUNK.

She also has two different wearable sides. Turn her around and you get another look, with a different arrangement of denim and pocket details. I like having that choice without having to switch bags.

I can see her with a plain dress when you want the handbag to bring the extra, or with more denim when you're in a denim-on-denim mood. Coffee, brunch with the girls, or date night, she’s a statement piece to complement the outfit.

Working with secondhand denim means the fading, fraying, and natural wear come along for the ride. I don't need every piece to match. The mixed washes and uneven edges are part of what gives this one-of-a-kind handbag her character.
