I Almost Listed This Ugly Denim Bag: But It Wasn't Ugly Enough |

I almost listed this Ugly Denim Bag today.

But the more I stare at it, the more I realize... but it's just not ugly enough.

So, I'm taking it back to the drawing board to see if it needs a few more frays, another layer, maybe a patch or two,  or maybe it doesn’t need anything at all.

Not every bag I create makes the cut. Sometimes it's a list, and sometimes it's a diss.

This one has potential, though. I can see one small spot that keeps catching my eye, and I think it deserves just a little more attention. Oh, my goodness am I trying to make this ugly bag pretty :) lo naw never

That's one of my favorite parts about creating. There isn't a blueprint, and I have no rules to follow. Every Ugly Denim Bag has its own personality, and no two ever come together the same way. Sometimes the best creative decision is to walk away for a day and come back with fresh eyes.

Truth be told, I think this bag looks pretty good just as it is with all the denim, frays, and shreds. But I want to play around with it a little longer before I decide it's finished.

Who knows? I may come back tomorrow and decide not to change a single thing.
