Good morning Funky Friends! I am back with another day Thrift Snooping Every Funky vibe possible for The Boutique! So, I hope you all are doing mighty fine today?
Any hoot, let’s jump right off into the blog, shall we? Lately, the thrifting has been a bit of a hit or miss with me. Some days I can find some hidden gems, and some days I wish I would have gone kayaking because the thrift stores are so gosh jolly dry as a whistle.
When I go on a thrift hunt I am looking for things that resonate a nostalgic vibe. My findings do not have to be from a certain date in time but preferably something that looks different and unique. I love finding things I can take apart and rework or remake into something else.
Although, the thrift stores have been looking a little thin on cute stuff. I manage to always find something in the shoe section, dress aisle, and houseware section.
Can you believe this picture right here was only $12 bucks. Nope, I did not buy that one because it did not match one thing in my home. And I came for clothes and accessories, so let me get back on track.
The only thing I did buy from the home decoration section is a peachy-colored vintage-styled telephone. It will be replacing the black one that I just added to the Funky Grunge Boutique.
After filling my buggy up with none accessory essentials, I did make my way over to the jewelry section, where I hit the good ole’ willie jackpot.
I thrift snooped a whole bunch of elephant ivory bracelets and gold heavy earrings. In which I will share those once cleaned and polished for the website.
I look at all the jewelry even the pieces I do not really love at first site. I just love the thrill of picking through every single item available for my viewing.
I guess it's about time I share a few of the FUGLY handbags I did buy for myself and the boutique.
I am not a huge fan of the color purple. But I could not pass up this Mark scrunch bag. It is so stinking cute in person, and it adds just the right amount of color to any woman's style.
So I grabbed it just in case I want to list it in the shop.
Then I found an ole' school black handbag with brown hard handles. I was drawn to this one because of it's unique shape.
My last find was the best one on this Thrift Snooping trip and I had to get it. It's a plastic flower and pearl purse. It reminds me of something Jacki O would wear at the Kennedy ball. So, you know I had to add this one to the boutique. It's a simple yet very stylish bag. It will definitely start a conversation over brunch with the girls.
There you have a day Thrift Snooping with me. Stay tuned for more Funky listings to come.
Until Next Time See Ya In A Funky minute!
